Client: The Royal Parks

Objective: Construct boardwalk and marginal zones

Olympic were contracted to create a large reed bed area with a 28 meter green oak boardwalk for viewing. 3 smaller marginal zones using gabion baskets and geotextile methods were also installed. The dredged silt was used for fill to save removal from site a method also used in Kensington gardens for The Royal Parks. Once drained down the monorail was used to keep all the material movements within the pond and with no disturbance to the park users.
