The use of the monorail has proven time and time again in many applications. The Itchen navigation required a 30 meter river crossing with 1 kilometre of bank repairs. There were over 1800 tons of chalk to be moved into site and over 1500 tons of top soil to be moved. This was achieved with little effort and no impact on this SSSI / SAC site. The monorail has many uses where no impact on the environment is required. This was also demonstrated at Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir where it was used to import slate material for the Japanese pond refurbishment making no mess and keeping the gardens open ! The carriages can be made into flat wagons for transporting many goods.
